How We Help

Program Features

Why is Evidence-based vs. Evidence-informed important?

Evidence-based interventions require rigorous research and evidence-informed does not.

HIPTeens (Health Improvement Project for Teens) is an evidence-based, theoretically-driven sexual risk reduction intervention that was developed and tested using rigorous research.

This program enhances knowledge, increases motivation, and teaches behavioral skills needed to reduce pregnancy, HIV, and STI risk among teens and young adult participants.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention

Empowering teens and young adults to invest in their future through goal setting, better decision-making, and positive behavioral reinforcement is central to reducing teen pregnancy. HIPTeens uses curriculum components and intensive skill-building to successfully reduce participant pregnancy rates.
